ELKHART — Child and Parent Services’ Healthy Families Elkhart County program has reached a new high of local families it serves each month, benefiting newborns and parents alike.

As of November, Healthy Families reported serving a record of 300 families per month. Previously, the program averaged about 250 families per month. But since July, the program has been seeing a steady increase in enrollment, according to director Ellen Graber-McCrae.
