ELKHART — Habitat for Humanity of Elkhart County kicked off its fourth home build since work resumed following the COVID-19-related shutdown.

The nonprofit’s board of directors, staff, municipal leaders, supporters and the future homeowner celebrated the new home with a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday afternoon at the site on Concord Avenue in Elkhart.

Why did they shut down in the first place.?

Construction was deemed essential, they could have helped another 2 to 3 families had they not shut down
