GOSHEN — County officials are moving quickly on a waste water collection project east of Wakarusa due to a tight funding deadline.

The Elkhart County Commissioners on Monday voted to appropriate up to $50,000 for Baker-Tilly to conduct a utility rate study in the unincorporated areas of Foraker and Southwest. They also authorized up to $1.2 million for survey, design and other work by Lochmueller Group related to the construction of a wastewater collection system.
