GOSHEN — The business side of Elkhart County’s dark fiber program will be managed by a South Bend regional network under an agreement signed Monday.

The Elkhart County Board of Commissioners passed a license and operation agreement with ChoiceLight, which manages a 300-mile network of fiber optic lines in St. Joseph and Marshall counties. The company will handle sales and accounting, customer service, network monitoring and other duties on behalf of Elkhart County, for a flat fee.
