GOSHEN — County officials changed course and denied a rezoning request that would have allowed a Dollar General to be built south of Middlebury.
The Elkhart County Board of Commissioners on Monday voted 2-1 to deny a zone map change from agricultural to business for a property on the east side of S.R. 13, south of C.R. 32, in Clinton Township. It would have been the site of a new Dollar General, something a number of surrounding property owners spoke against during the meeting.
