GOSHEN — A major solar energy plant that faced rejection last year is on track again after a vote by county officials.

The Elkhart County Board of Commissioners on Monday voted 2-1 to approve a zone map change for a solar panel array on close to 900 acres in Benton Township in the county’s southeast corner. The property being developed by Savion LLC is along S.R. 13 and C.R. 146.
