Weekend sale 'a success,' but Shepherd's Cove still needs more than $130,000

A leak in the roof of Shepherd's Cove Clothing Pantry in Elkhart Monday, Oct. 24, 2016. The non-profit is trying to raise money for a new roof.

ELKHART — A weekend fundraiser was deemed a success on one level, but an Elkhart clothing pantry is far from its goal of raising funds to replace a roof.

Sharlee Morain, executive director for Shepherd's Cove Clothing Pantry at 347 W. Lusher Ave., said the nonprofit organization is working to raise $135,000 for a new roof on its 35,000 square-foot facility.
