William Elijah

CLEVELAND TOWNSHIP — Police arrested a domestic violence suspect allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine after he head-butted an Elkhart police officer during an evening of mayhem Thursday.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department responded to a domestic violence report around 10:45 p.m. in the 30000 block of Chevy Chase Drive, which is located in a subdivision west of Edwardsburg Road abutting the Indiana-Michigan state line. When officers arrived, 25-year-old William Dean Elijah started running away from the scene on foot, according to a sheriff's department report.
