ELKHART— Elkhart Fire Department was called to 1639 Garden Street on Tuesday, April 10 at 11:15 a.m. for a structure fire.

According to a fire report, Elkhart Fire Department crews arrived to find flames coming through the roof on the northeast corner of the single-family residence. The fire department personnel gained entry and made their way to the second floor finding fire in a bedroom closet and in the attic.

The fire was extinguished quickly and without difficulty. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.
