ELKHART — The Elkhart Police Department has a new parking enforcement officer.

Parking Enforcement Officer Kayle Pipkins started this week. She will be based primarily in the downtown area enforcing parking ordinances.

What a total waste of taxpayer money,to pay someone to go up and down main st and write 4 or 5 tickets at $10 each,8 hours a day.If this was the 1960's,when their about 60 or 70 stores downtown,it would be justified not when there are only 15 or 18 stores.What a joke

hmmm..... I don't if it's a viable position or not! BUT! I guess SF Kid hasn't been downtown during the work week for awhile!!!
