GOSHEN — Goshen can use city staff to enforce county health orders related to COVID-19 after a council vote Monday.
Goshen Common Council passed an ordinance that authorizes the mayor to designate city personnel who can enforce a series of health and safety rules that were recently established by the county. Elkhart City Council introduced a similar measure Monday but did not move it to a second reading immediately, despite Mayor Rod Roberson's request that the council fast-track the proposed ordinance.Â
