ELKHART — The driver in a June crash that killed a Niles man faces multiple felony charges.

Roger Rhodes, 54, is accused of resisting law enforcement, a Level 3 felony, and counts of causing death when operating a motor vehicle with a controlled substance in his system and causing a death while intoxicated, both Level 4 felonies. He is also charged with operating a motor vehicle after lifetime license forfeiture, a Level 5 felony.

WOW. Several previous, "top - tier" felonies, and now a string of new ones, that include death. $3,500 to a bondsman, and he's ready to go again. WOW.

He must have bonded on previous felonies. The higher the felony #, the less serious. And a judge can only set bond on the charges in front of him! Yep! You would think someone could keep him in jail. And remember! He hasn't been found guilty!
