ELKHART — Two children found dead in a car near the Elkhart Police Department on Monday evening are believed to be linked to an Amber Alert issued earlier in the day and their mother is facing murder charges.

Elkhart police did not definitively identify the bodies, but Sgt. Chris Snyder said they are a young male and female believed to be Lilliana Hernandez, 7, and Rene Pasztor, 6. Authorities had been looking for the children since around 6:20 a.m. Monday and the Indiana State Police issued an AMBER Alert for them around 12:30 p.m., saying they were in danger.

First and foremost prayers for the kids family then for all emergency personnel (police, emt's, 911 operators) as this is very tough on them being little kids involved. Secondly the prosecution needs to go strictly after the death penalty in this case.

I will be praying for the family left to pick up the pieces...and most definitely for the officers and detectives that are working this case.
