INDIANAPOLIS — The state appeals court has upheld the conviction of a man who received over a century in prison for his role in a 2019 torture, murder and robbery.

Mario Angulo Jr., 21, was sentenced last year to 127 years in prison after he was convicted of multiple crimes related to the torture and murder of a Columbia City woman in 2019. He and co-defendant Donald Owen Jr., 23, were found guilty of murder, robbery resulting in serious injury and two counts of criminal confinement in the October 2019 killing of 31-year-old Kimberly Dyer.
