Plans are set for the May 4 election in Elkhart County, which will feature a school funding referendum for Elkhart.

ELKHART — Early in-person voting on the Elkhart schools referendum starts April 6.

The special election date is May 4, with vote centers open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registered voters in the Elkhart Community Schools district can vote yes or no on a single ballot question, a special eight-year tax meant to generate $15.25 million.
