ELKHART — The four Elkhart Public Library branches need renovations, the library’s board believes. A $4 million bond issuance came one step closer to reality at this week’s Elkhart City Council meeting.

Library director Lisa Guedea Carreño said the improvements will create “welcoming and useful spaces for the diverse communities we serve.”
