GOSHEN — Waterford Crossing Senior Living is hosting an art walk and silent art auction from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club.

In addition to the art walk and silent auction there will be live music from the band The Dawg, hors d’oeurves, beer and wine. The Boys & Girls Club Orchestra will also perform at the event. A suggested mimimum donation of $5 is requested for admission.

The goal for this event is to raise money for the Boys & Girls Club as well as highlight the arts in the Goshen community.

Waterford Crossing offers a Living Arts program on their campus which encourages residents to express themselves through the arts. As part of that program, local artists come occasionally and provide programming for residents. Several artists in the area, including Waterford Crossing residents, have donated their artwork for this event. The community is welcome to attend and enjoy good music and food, and make a silent bid on local art work.

“We are so excited to partner with the Boys & Girls Club for this fundraiser,” said Chad Knisley, executive director, Waterford Crossings. “We have been doing some cross generational programming with them, and our residents and staff felt like we wanted them to be our Charity of Choice this year with our annual fundraising efforts.”

More information about how to make a donation of art or funds for the event is available from Lisa Zollinger, community services representative, at 574-536-0313.
