Elkhart native James Wylder awaits release of his ninth book, 'Death and Doubling Cubes'

Author and Elkhart native James Wylder recently completed his ninth book, “Death and Doubling Cubes,” a sci-fi tale set in a universe of Wylder’s own creation.

ELKHART — “I’ve always been telling stories,” said local-born author James Wylder, sitting at a small table and sipping a coffee at Electric Brew in downtown Elkhart. “I forced my sisters to write down the words of stories back before I knew how to write myself.”

Living for the past several months in Indianapolis, 27-year-old Wylder only recently made writing his full-time gig, although he has been making his name in the writing world for years.
