Maple City Toastmasters
The goal of Toastmasters is to see each member improve in their speaking and leadership skills, to take away the fear of public speaking. The local meeting of June 11 was led by Toastmaster Joel Hawkins. Members were entertained with a speech by John Ferguson presenting “Will to Win.” It was informative and entertaining.
“Off the cuff” short speeches, a spontaneous speaking session which makes a person speak properly without preparation, was led by Bill Nelson. Each meeting has an evaluation time which gives feedback on the good and where we need to improve.
Maple City Toastmasters meets from 12:10 to 1 p.m. every Tuesday at the Goshen Chamber of Commerce. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend to have fund and work on their skills. Information: firstname.lastname@example.org or 574-215-8734.
