Record number of mail-in ballot requests

ELKHART — Applications for mail-in ballots for the primary election are the highest Elkhart County has ever seen, according to local election officials.

“Absentee ballot requests by mail are sky high,” said Elkhart County Clerk Christopher Anderson. “Last numbers I had were 5,400 ballots received and 3,200 still out.”
