River District Jackson Blvd. by Martins rendering

A retail study conducted over the next three months should help existing and potential retailers get the most out of their investments in the River District, downtown and South Main Street.

ELKHART — What retail should Elkhart’s River District and Main Street offer in the future? That is the question being asked in a study over the next three months, as local residents and business owners have a chance to weigh in.

The River District Implementation Team has contracted Gibbs Planning Group to conduct the study, which includes six focus group meetings this week. There are still available spots.
