RE/MAX agent earns award

GOSHEN — Eduardo “Ed” Viruez, with The Viruez Team at RE/MAX Results, has been presented with the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award, which honors successful agents who have closed more than $35 million in sales volume.

Viruez has been working in the real estate industry for over 15 years and has extensive experience in residential and commercial properties. He specializes in working to increase home ownership within the local Hispanic community. In addition to the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award, he has earned the RE/MAX 100 percent Club award for the past four years. Viruez is the team leader for The Viruez Team.

“Ed has been an integral member of our team and is more than deserving of this very prestigious award,” said Larry Phillips, co-owner of RE/MAX Results. “Earning this career milestone award is a tremendous accomplishment. Ed continues to raise the bar in real estate, making us, and this community, proud.”

Viruez is active in the local community and is a member of the Goshen Chamber of Commerce. He has volunteered his time as part of the Latin Expo committee, as well as with the Center for Healing and Hope. Ed is an active participant in the Elkhart County Fair and was part of the 2018 Radiothon for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Ancon Construction launches welding division 

GOSHEN — Design-build construction firm Ancon Construction has announced the creation of its new welding division called Spark.

Spark is a team of highly skilled certified welders. Mobile teams can work in a variety of locations whether the project is long term or a quick service-based need.

Industries served include industrial, commercial, process, manufacturing, RV, marine, equipment, retail, restaurants, sign, billboard, medical, health care, infrastructure, municipal, institutional and custom. Services offered include MIG, manual, portable welding, emergency onsite welding, insurance claims, mobile welding units, plasma cutting, oxy-acetylene cutting and heating, plant maintenance, structural fabrication and small project contract work.
