Selner belts three homers as Saint Mary's sweeps softball twinbill

Elkhart Memorial graduate Callie Selner is hitting .306 with three homers and is 9-6 with a 2.85 ERA as a pitcher for the Belles.

NOTRE DAME — Callie Selner, an Elkhart Memorial High School graduate and Saint Mary's College senior softball player, socked her first three home runs and earned her ninth pitching victory of the 2014 season Monday, April 21, in a doubleheader sweep at Manchester University.

Selner came away hitting .306 with three homers, eight doubles, 11 runs batted in and 12 runs scored on offense and 9-6 with one save, a 2.85 earned run average and 91 strikeouts in 98 1/3 innings as a pitcher.

The Belles are 15-13 overall and 5-7 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
