Marian, Fairfield, Penn softball teams among top 10 in their classes

Marian, Fairfield and Penn ranked among the top 10 softball teams in their classes.

GOSHEN — Marian is No. 2 in Class 3A while Fairfield is No. 7 in 3A and Penn is No. 8 4A in the first Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association regular-season softball rankings.

Northridge received votes in 4A.

1. Portage; 2. Roncalli; 3. Crown Point; 4. Jennings County; 5. Hamilton Southeastern; 6. Pendleton Heights; 7. Lake Central; 8. PENN; 9. Franklin Central; 10. Bedford North Lawrence.
