King reigns in 2014 Elkhart County Women's Golf Championships

She recorded a two-day score 146 to top 19 other competitors.

GOSHEN — Haley King shot a two-day score of 146 to win the championship flight of the 2014 Elkhart County Women’s Golf Championships. The event drew 20 competitors to Christiana Creek Country Club in Elkhart and Black Squirrel Golf Club in Goshen.

Dodi McLemore, the low net winner in first flight (148), also shot a hole-in-one on No. 6 at Black Squirrel.

Other winners included Heather Gladfelter (championship flight low net, 146), Deb Stauffer (first flight low gross, 177), Ann Porter (second flight low gross, 178; and senior low gross), Pat Rezutko (second flight low net, 138; and senior low net), Sally Mohr (third flight low gross, 205) and Annette Webb (third flight low gross, 148). 

 NorthWood, which won its third straight Northern Lakes Conference girls golf title (tying with Wawasee) and went 11-0 in dual matches, added its first-ever sectional title Saturday, Sept. 20, at Warsaw.
