Elkhart Memorial's Khadijah Moore signs with Ancilla College
ELKHART — Khadijah Moore will transition from a Charger at Elkhart Memorial High School to an Ancilla College Lady Charger, as she signed a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) letter of intent to play basketball for the upcoming 2014-15 season.
Moore earned four varsity letters in basketball under the coaching of Steve Scott at EMHS while gaining nationwide attention.
She was a four-year starter that earned all-Northern Indiana Conference first team honors three times, in addition to being named team MVP two years in a row. According to ESPN recruiting profiles, Moore was ranked 114th nationally, as a player, and 21st in her position.
When asked why she chose Ancilla, Moore replied, "Campus is close to home and it will give me the opportunity to improve my academics."
Ancilla coach Tom Robbins commented on his new recruit, "Khadijah is one of the best players in the state. She is a true inside/outside threat offensively and a very athletic defender."
Moore is the daughter of Tamara Peet and will study criminal justice while attending Ancilla.
