ELKHART — Nic Minder has been named the new head girls basketball coach at Elkhart Christian Academy.

Minder, a 2002 ECA graduate, has held several coaching positions at the school, including recent head JV and varsity assistant coach for boys basketball under head coach Ryan Culp and JV coach for girls basketball under head coach Rick Billman.

The 2013-14 varsity Eagles went 4-13 under the guidance of Billman.

Minder has also helped out with the Eagles' softball program.

"Elkhart Christian Academy will look forward to the upcoming season with Coach Minder in charge," said ECA athletic director Craig Coffman. "He has already brought a winning mentality to the program and we look for that to continue in years to come."

Minder's coaching staff for 2014-15 will include Chad Viront, Jessica Maxwell and Lexi Rambadt.
