Penn's Kaniewski Ulrich named District Coach of the Year

She guided the Kingsmen to a 25-2 mark with a 4A state runner-up finish this season and is 108-14 in five years.

INDIANAPOLIS — Penn's Kristi Kaniewski Ulrich was one of six individuals named as Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Bob King District Coaches of the Year on Tuesday, April 8.

Ulrich, recently selected head coach of the Indiana Junior All-Stars as well, guided the Kingsmen to a 25-2 record and Class 4A state runner-up honors this season.

She has guided the Kingsmen to a 108-14 record over her five seasons with four sectional, three regionals and two semistate titles, and has been named Northern Indiana Conference Coach of the Year three times.

Kaniewski Ulrich is joined as a District 1 Coach of the Year by LaPorte's Skeeter Heath.
