NECC salutes top players of 2013-14 girls basketball season

Who made the all-Northeast Corner Conference's girls basketball team?

LIGONIER — Champion Westview placed Grace Hales, Maria McCoy and Brooke Yoder on the 2013-14 all-Northeast Corner Conference girls basketball team.

Runner-up Fairfield's first-teamers are Jenna Kieper and Brooke Mast.

All-NECC Girls Basketball

First team: Claire Grubb (Angola), Montana Martin (Churubusco), Maddy Minehart (Eastside), Jenna Kieper (Fairfield), Brooke Mast (Fairfield), Shae Rhonehouse (Fremont), Miranda White (Fremont), Lindsay Upp (Hamilton), Abi Thompson (Lakeland), Shawna Carbone (Prairie Heights), Tressa Terry (Prairie Heights), Kelsie Peterson (West Noble), Grace Hales (Westview), Maria McCoy (Westview), Brooke Yoder (Westview).

Honorable mention: Abby Buchs (Angola), Haley Brown (Fairfield), Kennedy Forker (Central Noble), Tiffany Simcox (Central Noble), Ashtin Kaminer (Lakeland).

Final NECC standings: Westview 10-0, Fairfield 9-1, Angola 8-2, Fremont 6-4, West Noble 6-4, Lakeland 5-5, Prairie Heights 4-6, Churubusco 4-6, Eastside 2-8, Central Noble 1-9, Hamilton 0-10.
