WHME's Freeby, Nagle to be honored by Indiana Basketball Coaches Association

Chuck Freeby,  Bob Nagle have long called the "Game of the Week" for WHME-TV 46.

INDIANAPOLIS — WHME-TV 46 broadcasters Chuck Freeby and Bob Nagle are scheduled to receive Virgil Sweet Awards at the 2014 Indiana Basketball Coaches Association annual clinic Friday, April 26, at Lawrence North High School.

The award is presented to those who have provided meritorious service in the promotion of basketball across Indiana. The award is named in honor of Sweet, the former Valparaiso High School basketball coach and former longtime executive director of the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association.

Freeby, an Elkhart Central High School graduate, is sports director at WHME and calls the basketball "Game of the Week," among his many other duties.

Nagle, a Marian High School graduate, is in his 38th year of broadcasting in the South Bend area.

Besides being sports marketing director at Lesea Broadcasting and WHME TV, Nagle serves as the voice of Notre Dame women’s basketball and works with Notre Dame baseball.
