Benton Harbor boys basketball team will go to state championship

The Tigers defeated Cadillac in the semifinals Friday night, March 21, and will play for the state title this weekend. It's the team's first time to go to the championship since 1993.

Benton Harbor's boys basketball team defeated Cadillac in the Class B State Semifinals Friday night, March 21, and will now play in the state championship game, our news partner WNDU reported.

The team, which will be playing for the state title for the first time since 1993, had a 69-52 win over Cadillac, WNDU reported. Cortez Moore played particularly well, finishing the game with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Benton Harbor will play at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Michigan State, WNDU reported. The last time the team won the state championship was in 1965.
