Westview Warriors survive in 2 OT to reach championship

NORTH JUDSON — Chandler Aspy scored 24 points to lead four Westview players in double figures, as the Warriors defeated Hammond Noll, 75-64, in the opening round of the Class 2A North Judson Regional.

Westview trailed 41-32 entering the fourth quarter, before outscoring Noll 21-12 to force overtime on a basket with 20 seconds to play. After both teams scored just three points in the second overtime, Westview dominated the second OT, outscoring Noll 19-8 to post the win

While Noll was able to hit nine 3-point shots to Westview’s three, the Warriors were strong from the free throw line, hitting 28-38, while Noll was just seven-of-18.

Judah Zickafoose backed Aspy with 17 points, while Jordan Bontrager and Jamar Weaver each scored 14 for Westview.

Larry Crisler scored 23, and Marquis Tarver scored 18 for Noll.
