A Coach's Perspective
Aaron Wolfe, NorthWood — "The same four teams, the same four coaches and the exact same draw (as in 2012 — NorthWood beat Dwenger 51-48, Norwell beat Muncie Central 63-58, Norwell beat NorthWood 62-51) … Our seniors have some familiarity of this situation. I hope we can draw from the experience. On the other hand, the other three teams are in the exact same situation … Dwenger has played a tremendous schedule this year. I do not feel their record indicates the quality of their season. They have very good bigs, good guards. Their size matches up with ours. They have some playmakers, some athletes that pose matchup problems … (The 6-foot-5 Grady Eifert) is very versatile. He's almost a combination of Zurcher and Wilkinson. He is heavier, probably, and stronger than Jon, but uses those type of skill sets to get to the basket, get fouled, also shoot from the perimeter. He really makes their offense go. He makes great decisions … Norwell and Muncie Central play in good conferences and they are going to be extremely competitive. Right now, we are spending all our time and energy preparing for Fort Wayne Dwenger … We have some time to heal and get well this week … Some of our players that were on the mend get an extra three or four days to get well."
