Ohio State left-hander Tully is Big Ten baseball freshman of the year

Tanner Tully is a 2013 Elkhart Central High School graduate. He helped the Blue Blazers win the Class 4A state championship last summer.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Tanner Tully, a 2013 Elkhart Central High School graduate, has been named the Big Ten Conference baseball freshman of the year for 2014.

A left-handed starting pitcher at Ohio State University, Tully is currently 6-3 with a 2.08 earned run average.

He helped Central win the Class 4A state championship last summer.
