Warsaw tops Memorial in back-and-forth volleyball

Concord sweeps, while Northridge, Fairfield can’t sustain favorable starts.

Warsaw opened its Northern Lakes Conference volleyball schedule with an important five-set win over host Elkhart Memorial on Thursday, Aug. 28.

The Crimson Chargers led 2-1 after the first three games before dropping the final two, including a 17-15 decision in the decisive set. Tailor Schultheis had 19 kills and six kills to lead the Chargers.

Marian won a tough decision over Fairfield, winning three straight games after dropping the first. Hannah Siegel had nine kills and seven aces for Fairfield.
