Edwardsburg twin sisters sign with Graceland University volleyball

Saige and Sierra Gaunder will be attending an NAIA school.

EDWARDSBURG, Mich. — Twin sisters Saige and Sierra Gaunder, Edwardsburg High School seniors, recently signed to continue their academic and volleyball careers at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa.

Saige is a 6-foot middle blocker and right-side hitter, and Sierra is a 5-11 outside hitter.

The Gaunders play travel volleyball for the Krush program, coached by Vince Strefling, headquartered in Niles. This past season, they played for the Krush 17 national team in the Chicago-area Great Lakes Power League.

Graceland, an NAIA program, is coached by Stew McDole, who is 852-444 in the past 31 seasons. The past 21 seasons, the Yellowjackets have won 20 or more matches. During 19 of those seasons, McDole has led the squad to a Heart of America Athletic Conference regular, pre- or post-season title and has been named the HAAC Coach of the Year 12 times.
