Carroll drops Goshen in penalty-filled season opener

GOSHEN — In a season-opening high school football game that featured 24 penalties and plenty of other missteps, Fort Wayne Carroll topped Goshen 40-7 Friday night at Foreman Field on the debut night for new GHS coach Kyle Park.

Carroll quarterback Cody Dinan completed seven passes for 144 yards with four touchdowns — two to Tyler Kissinger and one each to Nick Parker and Justin Becker.

The Chargers also got 159 rushing yards from Blake Schumacher.
