Penn, Concord, ECA open with shutout boys soccer wins

Andrew Ivaldi tallied the game’s lone goal as host Penn beat Northridge 1-0 in each team’s boys high school soccer opener Tuesday, Aug. 19.

At South Bend, Christian Saleh had a goal and an assist in the first half as Concord took a 2-0 lead on its way to beating Adams 4-0.

At Lakeland Christian, Nathanael Knight netted four goals as Elkhart Christian opened with a 9-0 blowout win.

At Topeka, Buchanon Carpenter tallied three goals and Lucas Hunter canned two as Westview opened by blanking Wawasee 5-0.
