DUNLAP — Jess Dooley has been selected as Concord High School girls golf coach, according to athletic director Dave Preheim.

Dooley, a 2006 CHS graduate, was a Minutemen assistant the last two seasons, as well as being an assistant in girls basketball and softball, per concordhsathletics.com.

In golf, Dooley was a standout at the University of Southern Indiana, where she set 18-hole and 36-hole school records before graduating in 2010.

For the Minutemen, Dooley was a three-time sectional medalist and state finalist, in addition to playing basketball and softball. She earned 13 letters overall.

“She is certainly one of the best female golfers to ever play at Concord,” Preheim said, “and by both playing and coaching three sports, she clearly demonstrates support for multi-sport participation. Since she already knows our athletes, I’m sure it will be a very smooth transition.”

Dooley, a paraprofessional at Concord Intermediate, succeeds Larry Bilger, who has retired as both girls and boys golf coach at Concord.
