Hartnagel blisters Elbel as Marian wins NIC golf tourney
SOUTH BEND — Augie Hartnagel’s 1-under-par medalist 71 led Marian to the Northern Indiana Conference boys golf tournament title Saturday, May 31, at Elbel.
The Knights scored 308 to runner-up Penn’s 317. By virtue of Penn winning the round-robin standings, the two teams tied for the overall NIC crown.
Hartnagel prevailed by five shots, with teammate Michael Makris and Justin Holt of the Kingsmen next at 76.
