Elkhart Central gymnasts Stabler, Yeakey earn All-American honors

ELKHART — Two Elkhart Central High School athletes have been honored by the National High School Gymnastics Association.

Freshman Kiara Stabler is an All-American as a vaulter. Her IHSAA tournament series average was 9.075. Her USA Gymnastics season average was 9.43 with a season high score of 9.75. She was a USAG state runner-up on the vault.

Junior Libby Yeakey is academic All-American. She earned a 3.95 grade point average and is in the top 10 in her class. She was a team captain, third-year letter winner, performance award winner and season high scorer on the beam.

Stabler and Yeakey are coached by Kathy Krauter.
