Carmel too much for Kingsmen in girls tennis

SOUTH BEND — The unbeaten Carmel High School tennis team ended the season for Penn, beating the Kingsmen 5-0 at the South Bend Semistate on Saturday, May 31.

Carmel, now 18-0, won all five matches in two sets. Penn’s No. 1 singles player Haylei Snelson came the closest to posting a win, taking Bailey Padget to 7-6 (5) in the second game.

Penn closes the season at 18-4.
