Miller and Mast pitch Fairfield's first-ever perfect game

Elkhart Central and Elkhart Memorial pick up wins in their final regular-season games; Northridge clinches NLC title.

Lairen Miller and Danica Mast pitched the first perfect game in Fairfield school history in a 16-0 win over West Noble on Thursday, May 22. Miller locked down the first three innings, tossing seven strikeouts before she was relieved by Mast. Miller also scored three runs.

At Elkhart Central, Brittney VanderHoek tripled, doubled and drove in three runs in the Blazers’ 7-5 season-finale win over LaPorte. 

At Northridge, the host Raiders clinched the Northern Lakes Conference title with a 3-0 victory over Wawasee. Winning pitcher Haley Nixon tossed a one-hitter, striking out 11, while also driving in two of the  Raider runs.

At Elkhart, Brie Lowe had three doubles and drove in three runs as Elkhart Christian defeated the South Bend Career Academy, 14-4, in a non-conference game.
