Fairfield volleyballer Carlos signs with Bethel College

Defensive specialist Erin Carlos earned earned two letters at Fairfield while accumulating 339 digs and 55 service aces while helping the Falcons to back-to-back Northeast Corner Conference and sectional championships in 2012 and 2013 and a regional title in 2012.

BENTON — Erin Carlos, a Fairfield High School senior, has signed to continue her academic and volleyball careers at Bethel College in Mishawaka.

Carlos, a 5-foot-3 defensive specialist, earned two letters at Fairfield while accumulating 339 digs and 55 service aces while helping the Falcons to back-to-back Northeast Corner Conference and sectional championships in 2012 and 2013 and a regional title in 2012.

During that span, Fairfield went 64-10 and Carlos was a team captain and first-team all-NECC as a senior.

Off the volleyball court, Carlos is also a two-year letter winner in softball and helped Fairfield to a regional championship in 2013. She is a member of the National Honor Society as well as her school’s choir, show choir, student council and Key Club.

Bethel is an NAIA program and member of the Crossroads League. The Kevin Ulmer-coached Pilots went 28-14 overall and 16-2 in the league in 2013.
