DUNLAP — Taylor Lantz, a Concord High School graduate, is scheduled to sign soon to continue her academic and soccer careers at Defiance (Ohio) College.

In 2013, Lantz produced five goals and seven assists and was an all-Northern Lakes Conference performer as well as an honorary captain and midfield award winner for coach Todd Hesselbart's Minutemen.

She was also a second-team all-Indiana Soccer Coaches Association District 2 selection. Her all-conference honor was the second of her high school career.

A four-year starter, Lantz finished her Concord career with 14 goals and 26 assists.

"One of the special things about Taylor is that she is very versatile," said Hesselbart, who used Lantz all over the field. "Taylor is the type of player that would do anything for the team. She has a lot of heart and loves the game."

Defiance, an NCAA Division III program, is coming off a 2013 season in which coach Jenny Vincent's Yellow Jackets went 6-11-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
