Jimtown rallies from 5-0 hole to top Bremen in baseball

Jimmies improve to 7-0 in NSC with win over Lions; Scottie Clark fires two-hitter for Memorial; DeFreese saves Concord.

Down 5-0 going to the bottom of the fifth inning, Jimtown stormed back for a 7-6 win over Bremen on Monday, May 5, to improve to 7-0 in Northern State Conference baseball.

Trevor Hobbs homered for the Jimmies (9-3), Dylan Guldager drove in three runs and Nick Floyd went the distance on the mound to move to 4-1. 

At Elkhart Memorial, Scottie Clark fired a two-hitter and Jon Bailey slapped three hits as the Crimson Chargers beat Warsaw 4-2 in Northern Lakes Conference play. The Charger victory left both teams at 5-2 in the NLC.

At Concord, Nick DeFreese had three hits, including a triple, and picked up the save on the mound as the Minutemen edged Wawasee 5-4 in the NLC. Trevor Wilmore scored the game-winning run on a pass ball in the sixth.

At NorthWood, Vincent Miranda tossed a four-hitter as the Panthers blanked Goshen 2-0.

At Northridge, Jake Baylis and winning pitcher Andy Ross each went 3-for-4, with Bayliss stealing three bases and driving in two runs, as the Raiders beat Plymouth 6-3 in NLC play.

At Lakewood Park, Josh Kelly tripled, doubled and drove in four runs as Elkhart Christian beat the Panthers 13-7.
