Chargers improve to 6-0 in girls tennis

Memorial blanks Warsaw 5-0; Goshen, NorthWood to resume their 2-2 match on Wednesday.

Elkhart Memorial continued its hot girls tennis start with a 5-0 Northern Lakes Conference shutout over visiting Warsaw on Tuesday, April 29.

Haley Stouder and Taelor Grose won a tiebreak to close out their victory at No. 1 doubles, while the pair of Hannah Dillman and Mady Robison captured a three-setter at No. 2 doubles. The Crimson Chargers improved to 6-0.

At Goshen, the Redskins' suspenseful match against NorthWood was suspended by rain with the teams deadlocked at 2-all. It will resume at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, with the outcome on the rackets of No. 1 singles players Sydney Wysong for the Panthers and Miranda Kay for Goshen. The two players split their first two sets.

In another rain-altered match, Northridge blanked Wawasee 5-0. The match was moved to the Warsaw Racquet Club, where Emily Huges finished a three-set win at 1 singles for the Raiders.
