Penn receives votes in 4A baseball rankings

The Kingsmen are the lone team in The Elkhart Truth area to receive votes in any of the four classes.

INDIANAPOLIS — Penn received votes in the latest Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association rankings.

The Kingsmen are the lone team in The Elkhart Truth area to receive votes.

Class 4A

1. Indianapolis Cathedral; 2. Floyd Central; 3. Hobart; 4 (tie). Munster and Westfield; 6. New Albany; 7. Fishers; 8. Jeffersonville; 9. Brownsburg;10. Bloomington South.

Area teams receiving votes: LaPorte, PENN.

Class 3A

1. Norwell; 2. Andrean; 3. Jasper; 4. Lebanon; 5. Silver Creek; 6. Greensburg; 7. Hanover Central; 8. Crawfordsville; 9. Franklin County; 10. Batesville.

Area teams receiving votes: Rochester, Whitko.

Class 2A

1. South Spencer; 2. Park Tudor; 3. Lafayette Central Catholic; 4. Alexandria; 5 (tie). Indianapolis Scecina and Knightstown; 7. Adams Central; 8. Wapahani; 9. Providence; 10. Delphi.

Area teams receiving votes: Lewis Cass, Churubusco, Prairie Heights.

Class 1A

1. Frontier; 2. Orleans; 3. Shakamak; 4. Vincennes Rivet; 5. North White; 6. Rockville; 7 (tie). South Central (Elizabeth) and Daleville; 9. Fort Wayne Blackhawk; 10. Rising Sun.
