Ryan Mott belted two home runs — his second and third of the season — while driving in four runs and scoring two as Jimtown (2-4, 1-0) beat Culver in Northern State Conference baseball.

At South Bend, Penn coach Greg Dikos got the 599th victory of his career as the Kingsmen (5-2, 3-0) routed Northern Indiana Conference foe Riley 13-0 in five innings.

"I've been very fortunate," said Dikos, who can get his milestone 600th win Wednesday, April 23, in a 7 p.m. game at Penn. "I've been blessed with a lot of good players.

"I'm very proud of the work our coaching staff has done in building a pretty solid program year in and year out."

Colin McNamara had four hits with a home run and four runs batted in and Cole Harlacher had a triple and four runs scored for Penn. Winning pitcher Skyler Szynski struck out eight.

At Nappanee, Hunter Lane drove in three runs and scored while Chad Sellers had three hits and three runs scored in NorthWood's 11-1 Northern Lakes Conference win against Concord.

At Elkhart, Central was leading South Bend Adams 15-10 in the sixth inning when the game was suspended because of rain. Central coach Steve Stutsman said it will be determined by the Northern Indiana Conference Tuesday, April 22, whether the game is complete or will need to be completed Wednesday, April 23, in South Bend.
