Concord, NorthWood, Fairfield, Penn each win invites

Minutemen sweep through East Noble field; Panthers go 3-0 in dual-format event.

Led by Jenna Landis at No. 1 singles, Concord swept all five positions on its way to capturing the six-team East Noble Invitational in girls tennis on Saturday, April 19.

Landis allowed just one game over her three matches, beating Charlotte Jones of Westview 6-0, 6-0 in the 1 singles final.

At the New Prairie Invitational, NorthWood took the title, beating its first two opponents 5-0, then edging the hosts 3-2 in the decisive match. Sydney Wysong at No. 1 singles and the duo of Kennedy Walter and Tori Schwartz at 1 doubles each went 3-0.

At the Plymouth Invitational, Fairfield's Emily Mast (No. 1 singles) and Lauren Streit (No. 2 singles) were each champions, which led the Falcons to the tournament title.

At the Warsaw Invitational, Penn scored 24 points to pace a seven-team field. Elkhart Memorial took fourth.

East Noble Invitational

Team scores: Concord 35, East Noble 13, Westview 13, New Haven 11, South Adams 4, West Noble 4.
